These are the Pleco and Catfish in my aquarium going ballistic on each other! These fish have co-habitated since they were both less then an inch long and for some reason they are fighting today. They have always taken little hits on each other, but I have never seen violence on this scale. I am distressed by this, and hope that if there is anyone out there who knows anything about these specific fish they might let me know if it is imperative that I separate them. The pleco is the ordinary kind, but the catfish was sold as a Cory Catfish, which it is most clearly not and I just don't know what it is. The people at the store had no idea either. I have only seen one other like it in my life and it was living in a tank with some chiclids and the owner of that tank had no idea either. This aggression is not usual for these guys though, and I do wish to prevent it in the future as much as I don't want to part with either of these. It may have been triggered perhaps by the water change that I had done about a half hour before I shot this video.

Kinda a lose/lose battle. Catfish cant do much damage because of plecos armored scales, And plecos mouth is pretty rough but useless when it comes to bites.
- It's quite common for them to act this way, it's known that synodontis are agressive when they grow older, usualy males in this specie whants to be the boss of the tank. - This is the way they fight..they push and hit each other.
