Henrik Freischlader Cry Again

Henrik Freischlader is a German guitarist who just released his fifth album called Recorded by Martin Meinschäfer, an album that is of exceptionally high quality. The album broadly fits in the Blues-rock category, yet his playing is thoughtful and restrained, there is no excess use of notes. Also Freischlader is no soundalike, and avoids the clichés that can be the pitfalls of the genre. Henriks vocals are clear, non-accented and very soulful. It is refreshing to pick up a modern blues based album with such a strong set of original songs!
