@ThePondelicious True, especially when you consider without his staff gandalf loses about 90% of his magic.
-
and yet even though he lost his white stick he still got another one to hit the king...
-
@ThePondelicious I would say exactly the same as you :) Well said!

This part disappointed me, because Gandalf was pretty much beat easily and he doesn't get back at the Witch King. But hey, he can't defeat him, and Eowyn does. More points for Eowyn.

The Witch King's major objective in the battle was find and kill the leaders of free men, i.e Theoden and Aragorn, not Gandalf. The reason being because armies without leaders are useless and people without Kings would not be motivated to fight. The men of the free world would not unite under Gandalf and i am sure even without his staff Gandalf would have a trick up his sleeve, at the end of the day it was easier and more worthwhile to find and kill Theoden than a very old and powerful wizard

@TheRealEzzy Yeah I always thought that, would take like two seconds to do him in.
-
How many times does the bad guy in movies have the good guy just where he wants him, but then pratts about and doesn't finish him! Lesson here folks...When you have em just right there in front of you...FINISH THE JOB THERE AND THEN!
-
This scene has always pissed me off, how did gandalf get defeated
-
Do you not know death when you see it, old man? This is my hour! EPIC!!

@GangsterMafia2 Hey man please don't retaliate I'm not attacking you, it's a mere question, but: I read the Fellowship many times (maybe you're thinking of a different book) but the way I remember it, wasn't it Strider that rescued the Hobbits on Weather top from the Ring Wraiths? Gandalf was being held in Orthanc by Saruman at the time, was he not? I can't think of any other time in Tolkien-lore where all nine Nazgul were on Weathertop. Which book was this?
So, apparently flying to a horn is WAY WAY more important than killing Gandalf...
Yeah.... stupid...

Swearing persistently is a sign of lacking in intelligence. Back to the video ( which after all, is the whole point of the comment box ) the witch king, in the books was nowhere near as powerful as Gandalf, due to Gandalf being the second most powerful being in Middle Earth ( after Sauron of course ) ... may i just add that all you people below arguing with each other, there's no point. Your gaining nothing and wasting your time completely. Your just swearing and making yourselves look simple a
