Here is a gas siphon that I made so this I could suck out gas from my Dodge b350 van's 35 Gallon (plastic so you don't have to worry about contaminants) gas tank whenever I need gas for my Honda eu2000i generator & the Aux 6 Gal. tank I also have for it, this setup consists of a 8 oz fuel siphon constructed of steel that I purchased on eBay from a UK seller [though I had to add the pipe thread tape to help seal the end caps as well as did away with the clear vinyl tubes which were supplied & besides becoming very stiff & unwieldy when cold, being vinyl they would gum up my genny so I opted to upgrade to Marine Grade 15/32" Fuel Line (about 6ft, 3 ft for the intake & 3 ft for the output).
It works rather well & sure beats the small 2 oz plastic (basically disposable mini pumps from Wal-mart) being just shy of an 8 oz cap & in practice I manage to siphon about 6-7 oz it takes about 8-8 cycles for a gallon of gas (but since my Honda 2000i [please see my other vids of it] is a relative gas sipper this isn't much of a concern as this setup is certainly an option o more dangerous electric siphons although I'm looking into a Oil Change Siphon for it's larger capacity as perhaps a future project
In another vid I will show it in use.

While this pump works it's tedious and slow compared to my latest pump, please see my other video "How to Siphon Fuel Gas with a Drill Pump" thanks, Dan
