they are now putting aspartame into sugar gum. like bubble yum. also, i noticed that toaster strudiel pastries have aspartame in it!! THEY DONT NEED FAKE SUGAR WHEN THERES ALREADY REAL SUGAR IN IT!? i think companies are getting paid to put aspartame into products. i noticed that b/c i had been avoiding aspartame for about 2 months, then after eating a toaster strudiel, i had terrible hand tremors, stomach pains, and a headache.

@sucrecouer I think they do it because it's cheaper and produces the same sweetness with alot less quanity in other words 1 tb of aspartame produces same sweetness as 20 tb of real sugar. Those values are not true just to give you an idea.

@osotegrande I was using this product with splenda with reckless abandon for about 3 months and my liver enzymes doubled : (((( since I stopped they are almost at normal again

This makes it impossible for ones who are diabetic. What can those with diabeties do knowing they cannot intake regular foods with moderate and high amounts of sugar?
Which is better? Regular sugar or Splenda? Sugar is also a poison. How do we compare the pros and cons?

Without any question, sugar is FAR safer than any artificial sweetener. However moderation is the key. The average American consumes 175 pounds of sugar a year and that will clearly increase your risk of nearly every chronic degenerative disease.
