  • Thank you for posting this video. This moment speaks so much to the heart, where there is no fanfare, no cheering crowds, no bands playing. It is the silence of the act that washing over me with emotions. Thank you president elect Obama for taking this quiet moment to show appreciation. Thank you Tammy for your service to the America and to the service you continue to give to your fellow veterans. You're quiet moment here today did not go unthanked or unnoticed.

  • President Obama, This spring I was kicked out of a U.S. high school because when subbing there I said that Hitler, Mussolini and Hirohito were serial killers. Two high school seniors shouted me down and filed a complaint. I tried to defend America but was not allowed. I am a Vietnam Infantry Veteran with a Purple Heart and the school views me as a villain and Hirohito as a hero. One more incident report on me and I am fired. Only in America! My father and uncles are all World War II Vets too.

  • I do believe the solemn silence of that hallowed moment allowed the angels of her comrades and our fellow countrymen to scream into our humbled and grateful souls: "At Last, Let there be Peace! In the name of our countless sacrifices... Let there be finally be Brotherhood toward all the peoples of the earth."

  • Very nice, salute needs a little work. I dont think he was prepared to salute until he saw her do it.

  • Guten Tag Frau Duckworth

Ich muß den Hut vor ihnen Ziehen wie sie mit der Schweren Verwundung zurechtkommen ,

und das ohne Rumzujammernwie es ein Deutscher Soldat tuhen würde !
