I choreographed this dance as a Competition Tap Dance for a group of 8 or more dancers. Some of the steps are repetitive because dancers are moving from one formation to another. The two pauses in the dance are roll-offs.

  • You're probably right, however, this dance was choreographed to be a group dance with lots of formations. I think watching is as important as listening. But, thanks for the constructive criticism. I will work on that.

  • mosly the biegging is just flapx3 ball chain

  • Not exactly. This is a group dance and the beginning is the same step with different groups coming on stage at different times. The basic step is actually: shuffle step, shuffle step, shuffle step, ball change.

  • You are too old to pay competition fees. You are a good tapper. But give up competitions. My daughter does competitions and they are just money making gigs. They get you nowhere. Open a studio and teach!!!!!!You will make alot of money and love your job!@

  • Why do you have such a hang up about age? If you had clicked on "more info" under my name, above, you would have seen that I choreographed this particular dance for a group of students. I hope you can make more positive comments to other people's videos.

  • this is irish step dancing. i am a hall of fame dncer. i no wat tap is. goddddddd!!!!

  • There are some Irish steps in this routine. There are also clogging steps, tap steps and some of my own choreographed steps in it. I do not have Irish technique with high knees and the proper foot action as I only took 3 months of Irish dance. So, since I used a variety of styles, and my specialty is tap, I decided to choreograph this dance for a group that can combine styles and who uses tap shoes as opposed to Irish hard shoes or clogging shoes. I do appreciate your comment.

  • Hi,

I haven't taught it to a group yet. I just choreographed it. I used to teach high school students and also adults. I think this dance would work for any age group. I had it in mind for advanced students. What state are you in? Do you have any dances on youtube?

    Linda
