Out of the starting zone and into the fire.... er next area to kill stuff. Going over a couple new mechanics and a better explanation of Rifts since I was so rudely interrupted by a pretty cutscene during the last video.

  • What are your specs of your PC?

  • @MrBWatty They are in my channel description. Feel free to check them out there.

  • Commenting on your opinion on death penalties.

My opinion is that a small smack on the hand is needed so that people don't just suicide rush everything, it adds (for me anyway) alot of immersion into the game because you actually care about not getting your ass handed to you repeatedly. Again my opinion, no flame wars please...

  • @Gimpad I appreciate the feedback and I would like to point out that PLEASE don't expect flaming from myself or others on this channel as it will not be tolerated. I do actually understand your point and after seeing this system deeper it makes more sense than it did while I filmed this video. I do agree with your point and I actually like how Rift has done it. But again please do not expect flaming from myself, well, unless you really deserve it. :P

  • Kills quests aren't always just "kill quests". For instance, odds are, only people who read quest text knows the reason you've only been killing mobs for the past 4 quests. Maybe it's because they're trying to invade, but problems keep arising. First, infantry soldiers (duh). next, maybe they can't advance because mages bombard the hell out of troops. then it could be something else.. Anyway, kill quests have meanings sometimes.

  • @ichuckpieatcars I understand that. The issue however is gameplay wise it is no different from the other quests. As much as there needs to be a plot behind events, it is a game and gameplay is extremely important as well.

  • Even if it people think it is a clone, WoW could use some competition.

  • @Akeche Yes that it true. You are all given loot based on your contribution and it is given directly to you.

  • One major thing about the Rift system, I don't believe it's a situation of you competing for the loot in the Rift, but simply the higher your contribution... the more you're given in the end. As long as you do a lot, whether it be smacking things or healing people you'll get shinies.

  • @Zerbraxi hmm is it really heavy on gear? like AION is extremely gear based and all the skills are the same for everyone. is this any different? from what I've read and seen it is. just wondering wat u think cause im thinkin of quitting AION and comin to this but I want to get as many opinions as I can b4 switching. AIon is becomin (or already is) a dead game.
