@bigskyrockies yeah me too but I got and still have the vinyl MP & rush records, sound better even than the cd versions. MP was just never app, while back in the early 80s rush was huge. Every dope knew who neil peart was but only real musicains knew who T.Bozzio was. Even Neil was quoted in drummer mag how he felt guys like Bozzio were superior but less known. MP changed syles on every record & could never get a following going after spring session M.

By the way...fendergibs, I love Missing Persons, and had this cassette thru high school. I just happen to like Rush AND Missing Persons, too. No need to get uptight...it's all good stuff. Peace.

One of the only bands to put the drum kit at the front of the stage. This is why. But the bass playing that Pat O'Hearn is doing is pretty cool, too. Understandably, a lot of attention was paid to Dale, but the whole band was great. Of all of the "new wave", these guys were the most talented.

Patrick O'Hearn sure got really mellow just a few years after this.
And Terry? Well, he did tone it down a bit too as he worked on mastering his already masterful playing. Not anywhere near as chill as Patrick, though.

I can watch this a hundred times and still smile with fascination! I saw him around 84' at Six Flags with Missing Persons and they were so good live. Also saw him with Jeff Beck in 90',he was amazing soloing I think on the song Blue Wind. Also, Stevie Ray Vaughn was on that same bill, F-ing great guitarist dude.Love Beck, but was very happy to S.R.V. for my first time, he was so good.

I was listening to this thinking, "Terry is doing the same thing with the double bass and the China cymbals that that dude did on the Steve Vai album" (Sex and Religion) and then I realized, That was also Terry Bozzio....
-
I saw Bozzio some years back filling in with the band The Knack on a 4 piece kit. Just as amazing.

I could watch terrie play for houers he is so amazing.

its not a 12/8 beat, its a 6/4 feel, and there are very few people that can solo over six, let alone keep the band going...terry is a monster...
