I raced against Bill in the 1970's in Ireland when we were both skinnier and fitter ! An absolute gentleman but once the flag dropped he really got going ! Keep between the hedges Bill, as Irish roadracers say !

Hi Andy,

Bill + I were in The Blackchurch Racing Association, + we raced 50cc class, I'd a home-tuned 50cc 5 speed FS1 Yamaha, + then I'd a 50cc Kreidler, Bill also rode a Kreidler+ my brother Stephen rode a 4 speed YF1 Yamaha. This was short circuits, sprints and pure road-racing on closed public roads like the Skerries, Faugheen, Fore circuits, dont know if Bill did off-road . Yeah saw the cone getting hit.ouch ! Takes more than that to stop our Bill !
