  • There are only two quints left now.

  • Cecile and Annette are alive now. Emelie died in 1954, Marie died in 1970, and Yvonne died in few years ago about 2001 or later..

    Emelie had a condition that we now know would have been epilepsy, but then was just called nervous fits. She had joined a convent and the nuns living with her were told not to leave her alone but one did, to attend mass, Emelie had a fit and choked to death. I think that Marie died of a blood clot that reached her brain, but double check that one because I only know the history from family stories and those can get embellished over time or just be downright wrong.

  • how did the one Emelie die so young? if it was in 1954 then she was only in her 20's, the year my mother was born. Marie too? How did she die?
