This is just a brief explanation of what it was like for me to be hard of hearing all my life. This is my first video, so my apologies if I seem squiggly, nervous and mumble too much.
Anyway, if you guys have questions or anything--feel free to comment or email me or whatever.

  • gr8 vid can u get by wid out ur aids u speak soo clear

  • @watts1963 Nah, I can't do without my aids at all unless whomever is talking to me is standing right in front of me, face-to-face, with a clear voice. Other than that, I would not be able to get through the day without them. And thank you! I still mumble a bit from time to time but I'm working on that.

  • Saw you in Trippy's Bar. GREAT VIDEO!!!

  • @yeahsee33 Thank you!!

  • Well I meant that I admire the fact that you were able to overcome your problems more so I honestly had no idea you had hearing problems. (I just woke up so I'm a bit out of it lol)

  • @LadyGrendleFrost13 Hey girl, thank you! I really appreciate that. I'm sorry you been having difficulties with astigmatism, I know that sucks! But I say, hell, don't let it get you down. It's just another thing. A lot of the times--yeah--I don't tell people about my issue but I don't try to hide it either ;) It's awesome the school accommodates you! I never asked my school for anything because I feel like I should do it on my own, but I'm just too hard on myself sometimes ;)

  • it okay, i am hard of hearing my left ear was lousy but my right ear was improving hearing also i can sign language

  • @SakuraCassandra ^_^ Yeah what kind of bugged me was the fact that my formal adviser just put it on the table and said "Disability" and I just fuckin SNAPPED.. I was like "I don't have a fucking learning disability" and she said "no no it's because of the fact that you have a chemical imbalance in the brain that hinders you, because of personal problems.." I guess the primal "Say the wrong thing and I'm pissed behavior" was a give away, but we seem alike on how we handle things

  • Sometimes I feel disabled due to this, but they're very nice when it comes to my problems with people and misanthropic issues allowing me to take all exams in an issolated room to try to get my success so I'm starting to feel more comfortable about it. I love your vid Cass you're a very strong girl!

    Much Respect stay strong!,

    Frosty

  • Aw Cass I had no idea! Wow I really admire the fact that you had hearing problems. I have estigmatism in my left eye, however when I was 19.. I discovered that I found out about my phychological problems. I started going to treatment was in therapy for a while along with medication trials.. when I found that my combination right I went to school trying to not anyone know about it until I had to admit that I had side effects to medication to my adviser.. Now I have accommodations at UNi.
