The Port Coquitlam Complaints Choir had their world premiere performance on November 28, 2009 during the Christmas Bazaar at Trinity United Church. It was very well received and a few local politicians were present. They enjoyed the humour and the music, simply cracking up with laughter.
The City's Parks & Recreation Department hosted the next performance at their Spirit of the Season Concert in Leigh Square on Thursday, December 10. Admission to this event required a donation of food or money for the local Food Bank. The Community Arts Village brings art to the city's centre and includes a wide variety of visual art and musical performances. The audience enjoyed it very much. Our greatest concern was that they might ask for an encore.
The Choir's final performance was at the Christmas Gifts Concert at Trinity United Church on Saturday, December 12. The concert also collected donations for the local Food Bank - they provide year-round support for homeless people and for families in need.
