How is this encouraging them to be tolerant? I don't mean to be a jerk but it seems to me that you guys are laughing at the simple idea of the ad and not thinking about what it actually is saying. "Make An Effort"? How is swapping partners with someone before the big bad republicans see you "making an effort"? Instead of everyone saying "I'm gay and I think it's funny" or "you need to get a sense of humor"...tell me why this is a good ad that delivers on any level. Please.
You shoulda seen the "out-take" when the two Republicans walk way and one tenatively takes the other's hand... the other Republican pulls his hand back and whispers "not here!"
lol it is funny. but i'm a bit unsure if these people were alittle serious or not. i'm sure hoping not cuz theres nothing i would rather do then to make out with another girl infront of the negative republicans :D
LOL! That made me giggle disturbingly. I'm gay. My girlfriend and I have to walk more streets than I can count NOT holding hands. You wanna know what? I think this commercial is HILARIOUS! Good one, guys!
Someone missed you when they were handing out senses of humor, didn't they? It's a joke and, as a lesbian who has had to be subtle with who she and her partner are seen with, I find this hilarious. So. If you wanna do some good, go talk to people who actually think that gays should be persecuted and stop preaching to the choir.
It's borderline offensive. I guess we should all pretend to be someone or something we're not to please some old white guys who think they rule the world. Pretty lame.

There's nothing ironic about this. It's just lame.
