  • Great, another comment from a non-trained retard. If you're the future of martial arts, we're doomed. Go play your video games and let the adults talk.

  • A proper jab will reach the face long before your hand comes up from your waist to block it.

  • @MyJhongBlackBelt haha that depends on who you're fighting. Ancient people have to deal with those who mastered iron arms, legs and stuff, and such a simple punch can easy bypass the block if the block is light and crush the defender's bones.

  • @ViolentMarv any way would work, just rememder to tighten your foerarm muscles by bringing your fingers back, and "make it cut" as my se-fu says

  • Open hands are faster. Less tightened muscle that way. Try it out and see which one is easier! Thatll give you the best answer violentmarv.

  • @ViolentMarv I would leave the hands open. this allows you the option of grabbing the wrist. But either way would work!

  • i had some teachers tell me that i should close my fist during a circular block? how do you guys feel about close fist? Trying to figure out if the point of it was to protect your fingers from catching in clothing and breaking, or does it add power to the block?

  • WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU

  • Wow... you just proved my point. You've now shown everyone that reads this that illiteracy is a serious problem in our country. Stay in school. Good bye.
