Since I was already familiar with the Matchbox Penetration version of this effect, it failed to make an impression on me at Magic Live. Notwithstanding, both tricks do come across as more of a puzzle than something magical.

It seems to me that if you can do some card magic, put the cards in the box, and THEN grab a knife/needle/coin and penetrate the deck... that would be magic. Then let them verify that "it is indeed a solid deck" and reveal the metal block that way. NOW you're talking!

@robvh2 Good idea. After filming the trick i stumbled upon the Wizard Product review guys and one of them had a brilliant but of business with it. It made it that more magical. Only uses 1 card... You should check it out!!! I agree thats a solid routine man! :0)
