that engine is square with the world kind-of like the 765 was.

Great footage. Where is this at?

A hell of a ride on the saddle of this iron horse. That must have been fun...
-
Man that engines valves are spot on. I wonder where the hogger has the reverse lever positioned...hmmm.

This is a great depiction of the brute power a large steam locomotive is capable of.

Wow, this is a fanstasic showing of suberb locomotive handling skills. Both the firing with the almost perfectly clean stack (as Robkat stated) and the fact that the engineer was able to keep the wheels from slipping, while still working hard, on an engine that is notoriously slippery by default. (4-6-4's have proportionately low adhesive weight, simply due to only 6 of 14 wheels being powered). 5/5

I wish we could do that. It reminds me of J Allen Hawkins on the 3759 back in 1955. He had to deal w/ 2 tunnels.

Notice the stack, Clean the way an engine is supposed to be run and fired. The fire is a function of both the way the engine is run and the way the fireman can use the available draft and keep water up. Both are excellent here.
