Actually, auquabat, the Christian community has been awful towards gays. As a straight Christian man myself, I'm constantly horrified that people damn the gays as though they're committing some sin, thus driving a wedge between our two communities. Christians and Christians alone are responsible for the homosexual population's response to religion.

Bullshit. If it weren't for religious institutions damning the homosexuals for their lifestyle, homosexuals would never be unfairly held down for that which they can't help, and then forced to retaliate. Unless you believe that minorities should simply lie back and accept social injustice.
