Lyrics:

You're in the park with your pot dealer, She's upset
She's going off about something that you said
She doesnt get your morals like I do

I'm in my room, its a typical Friday night
I'm watching educational tv she doesnt like
And she'll never know your reasons like I do

But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts
She's cheer captain and I'm with the teachers
Dreaming bout the day when you'll wake up and find
That marijuana has been bad the whole time

If you could see that I'm the one who understands you
Been here all along so why can't you see?
You belong drug-free
You belong drug-free

Hangin in the streets with your pot in your jeans
I cant help thinking this is how it shouldnt be
Crying on the park bench thinkin to myself
Hey youre being sleezy

But you've got a smile that could light up this whole town
I havent seen it in awhile, since pot brought you down
You say you find I know you better than that
Hey, Whatcha doing with a drug like that?

She wears high heels, I wear sneakers
She's cheer captain and I'm with the teachers
Dreaming bout the day when you'll wake up and find
That marijuana has been bad the whole time

If you could see that I'm the one who understands you
Been here all along so why can't you see?
You belong drug free

Stopping by or passed out at my back door
All this time how could you not know that
You belong drug-free
You belong drug-free

Oh I remember you driving to my house in the middle of the night,
I'm the one who makes you stop when you know you're really high,
I know youre being pressured and its not your cup of tea
I think I know where you belong, I think I know it's drug-free.

Can't you see that I'm the one who understands you?
Been here all along so why can't you see?
You belong drug-free
Stopping by or passed out at my back door
All this time how could you not know that
You belong drug-free
You belong drug-free

Have you ever thought just maybe
You belong drug-free
You belong drug-free

  • This is a very well done video. It was creative, and yet it got the point across in a fun but serious matter

it's very original...all i can say is GREAT JOB!!

  • JRoss- I enjoyed the video a lot. However it was a tad confusing at first and if I didn't know it was about marijuana i'm not sure I would have known what you guys were portraying. However it was very well thought out and it kept my attention the whole time. The song definitely was interesting and a good idea to tie the video together. Well done all of you!

  • This video was extremely well done! The song was very creative and brought the point across from a teens perspective very well. I can tell that a lot of effort and thought was put into this video, and as a result it was very entertaining to watch. It definitely got your point across in a fun way, and the ending facts were very accurate. Great job!

  • MH: This video was definitely one of my favorites. the creativity was out of this world. It was so funny, and still got the message across. The music video idea was very good, and was excellently acted. The only improvement would be to not put all of the information clumped together because it kind of got the audience less interested. Also try not to drown out Leanne next time because that is important! :)

  • Chris: I loved the musical idea, great way to keep it fresh and entertaining. very humourous. i agree with andy and callie about leanne's "drug talk"...maybe should receive a little more attention because the end is a hard spot to work with. great job though!

  • This was my favourite video!!!! I love how you had yourselves singing the song, instead of having the song just inserted in the background. The ending was very cute :)

  • Very Well done. Original and creative. The only two things i found was that at some points during the video, I felt that the drug use could have been exemplified and I had some trouble hearing Leanne near the end. Some parts of the information I found were a little loose, but other than that this was excellent.
