I just picked this up at Bass Pro Shops(3000) for 100$, lookin forward to testing it out with my 7' St. Croix. I have a Symetre 2000 model that is at least 10 yrs old and still preforms like a champ. Can't beat em, rugged, reliable and quality.
I got the lower-end version of this reel which is the Solistice. It's $49.99 on average and is really smooth. If I had the extra dough, I would have gotten this one only because it has more ball bearings and a better gear ratio in my opinion.
@MCTFisher0219 hey if you have matched the rod with the reel im looking to do the same thing so please tell me if its a good combo

Very good information on this reel JP. Looking to match this reel(3000) with a Shimano Compre 7' M action spinning rod.
Should be a great combo for $200 about
