@redupfox You have a distorted view of Mansell, we simply do not agree, nothing personal.

@lazerpod66 I thought that you created all these stuff just to debate and not to put down other people. I was wrong, at least you've clearly indicated differences in our cultural backgrounds.

@X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X8X All true, plus he feared no one not even the great Senna.
-
Why Mansell was one of the best drivers ever:
- He had a natural car control
- He was faster than Piquet in the same car
- He had the balls to overtake
- bad luck in 1986
- 1987 was a normal accident with bad aftermaths
- even though he was fat he still drove as fast as all the others of his time
- he drove in a time most of the top-drivers ever raced
-
@redupfox All I see here is that you are a Mansell hater. None of your reasons are right, all bullshit, I just wonder who is your favorite driver, just let us know and write your arguments if you dare.

@lazerpod66 Mansell does not deserve top 10. here are the reasons:
1. lost 3 titles with the best car on the grid
2. would never won a single GP if Warwick accepted Williams offer for 1985
3. was beaten by most of team-mates: - ALWAYS by de Angelis - USUALLY by Prost and Rosberg - by Patrese in 1st part of 1991
4. was not smart enough
5. was fat for McLaren in 1995
6. watch Adelaide'94 start
7. was a moaner and afraid to have Prost as team-mate
Beat that!

@christophertoth96 Anyone is entitled to his or her opinion. I would add that in the case of Vettel, he has 2 things going his way. 1) He's driving the absolute best car and will be doing so for a couple of years and 2) In his era of driving, the quality of the drivers around is lesser than in the time of Lauda, so It helps the numbers just like in the case of Michael Schumacher.
-
So the best 10 drivers are: 1st Michael Schumacher 2nd Juan Manuel Fangio, 3rd Ayrton Senna, 4th Alain Prost, 5th Sebastian Vettel, 6th Niki Lauda, 7th Jack Brabham, 8th Gilles Villeneuve, 9th Kimi Raikkönen, 10th Stirling Moss
If somebody complain about Vettel. 15 pole positions in season 2011, 10 in 2010, victory with a Toro Rosso, 11 victory in 2011, 5 in 2010. He is 24 years and he hs more poles than Lauda for example. And the RB7 wasnt so good i think. Webber only 3rd with a luck.

@lazerpod66 He really was hell of a driver.. I just wouldn't rate him that high in overall skills... I can give him credit as maybe the best and most aggressive overtaker I've seen... That move on Berger in Mexico 90' for example, was simply breathtaking... I think Senna was already mature enough to be at the top of the list in the late 80's... but, everyone has its own opinion and that's what makes it interesting... ;)

@socolsodot The thing with Mansell is people remember and judge him by his mistakes, but in my humble opinion, he was one hell of a driver, fearless with bucketloads of courage and talent, he feared no one not even Senna, and that is why I regard Mansell as one of the very best. Senna is # 4 in the 80's because he was so much better in the 90's, he fully matured and became the absolute master we all know.
@badassmonkeykilla Lol no more cocaine dude, kick the habit now...
