thanks i got it fixed in another way. I leave it here if anyone needs it, Go to System/Preferences/Sessions. Add one called theme and in the order or comment type "emerald --replace" and save it. With that you'll be able to load the themes at the start and also load them in the emeral theme setup.
Cheers
PS: sorry if there is any difference in the menus, i have it in spanish.

O.o thx my nigga
Great Vid, helped me a lot, but i still have a problem, i can't figure out how to load a emerald theme, i've tried the tip you gave to a guy, the command line, but it won't change, plus i open the emerald theme editor, i import a theme and i can't load it, if i go to the terminal and write emerald --replace it changes the theme but once i shut it down then the window is frameless. Thanks for your help, i've been using ubuntu for 4 days now. Thanks in advance.

It's not in the terminal that you have to write it down but in the compiz options :
window decorator > Command
Also some themes are messed up, try installing another one. The file should be a *.emerald I think.

emerald-theme is an obsolete package that just give some default themes, so you dont need it. You can download the emerald themes through gnome-look.
You also have to make compiz-fusion use emerald : for that you need to put 'emerald --replace' in the 'command' field in the window decoration options (in the compiz settings manager)
