@shego4893 well i still go out everyday if u could weather and time permitting but a week is usually good after about 4 days if your horse is broke and is ok with bareback i started taking him out rode him bareback 10 mins and fed him put him back then i started getting him back in work after a week my horse was lame do to a kick when i brought him to my new farm but still is the same i HAD to go out to ice his leg so ya
Sorry it's not that easy :( Mabie for now you can take lessons at a ranch like where i live and we can teach you lessons on how to ride we have 84 horses and counting
so what would u recommend as a godo time to let a horse settle inot a new paddock im getting my first horse tomorrow after noon hes coming from quite a long way over 4 hours away and i think 3 days is the minimume time u should let them settle in and a week if possible is the longest.
@39supers39 Any horse that I have ever ridden LOVES to jump. I think all horses do except very few don't. I hate it when people pull but for example there is this pony at one of my barns that she is TOO fast so you have to keep a tight rein or else she will gallop off with you and I don't want that. No problem I don't get it why people do!
Just correcting myself I said maybe because some horses really do love to jump and some people like you I'm guessing don't pull every two seconds on the reins when you're on your horse and thanks again for never cursing on here
@39supers39 Bits are used everyday and western is not in the olypmics JUMPING is. So jumping isn't bad nor are bits. And I will never curse anyone out on here.
because I don't think it's a lovely video because it promotes two things that may be bad for horses like bits and jumping and if you think horseshoes are good they're only good in rare occasions when the hoof is uneven and I appreciate you're not a hypocrite like the rest including me that just cuss each other out

people don't trust their horses and I'm guessing your pony is a young one because of it's energy
