My Top 10 list of why the States and we the people should demand that our State legislatures nullify federal laws. There are many more relevant reasons to nullify federal laws but youtube has a 10 minute limit :-). We must stop this uncontrolled spending and the usurpation of our individual rights and liberties granted to us. The States gave the rights to the federal government; not the other way around. Let US stand up against the over reaching and bloated federal government.

  • I'd argue the rights are not GRANTED by the Constitution, only recognized, and defended. The rights are inherent.

  • The only problem with states' rights is that states can restrict individual freedom. Look at Lawrence V. Texas which struck down laws dealing with CONSENTUAL sexual acts. Surely, the states should not be able to abridge the right to privacy. And what about states' rights that allowed slavery? I'm not saying you people are racists, but you are risking the creation of ridiculus laws when you advocate states' rights. I think there is only one type of right: individual rights.

  • One problem with Nullification today is that the Fed uses the threat of 'Loss of Federal funding' if states do not conform. So for a State to Nullify an Unconstitutional law means they must be prepared to lose Federal funding. I am still for Nullification.

Rights, Certain Alienable Rights are endowed by their Creator (diety not Government).

  • The Constitution ONLY speaks to the limitations of government upon the Sovereign People who are the creators of said govt. All powers of authority are inherrent in the sovereignty of the people.See Chief Justice Matthews opinion in the landmark SCOTUS case of YIck Wo v. Hopkins US 118.356. Join us at countygrandjury dott orgg to be seated as a grand juror and have these bums indicted for failing to uphold their oaths of office to the Constitution and to the sOVEREIGN PEOPLE. Rights are from GOD!

  • Hey its not "we the people..."Its "I the President"

I don't care what the Declaration says, I care what Scripture and Church teaching say. I wholeheartedly agree that our rights come from God. I also believe that governments are instituted among men to protect these rights not trample on them as is happening now by adolf obama.

  • The Declaration says they are endowed to us by our Creator. So, if you wanted to be technical, in America it is the longstanding belief that all are rights are again, given to us by God.

  • Rights are not GRANTED by anyone or thing. They just are. I have the right to breathe, who gives me that right? I have the right to drive or fish or get married, but they have to give me permission? You think you are free, think again. We are hopelessly enslaved and too dumb to know it and too fat and lazy to change it.

  • The Constitution doesn't grant rights.
