This is a modest sized Mill Pond on the Woonasquatucket river. The flow of water is usually rather slow and lethargic. One can wade across the top or bottom of the dam. The area below the dam usually has a narrow channel of water, about 10-15 feet wide and no more than 2 feet at it's deepest point. In this video, recorded on March 30th, 2010 the river is boiling. Because of the record breaking rains and subsequent flooding, many areas of Rhode Island were declared disaster areas by President Obama.
