These Leslie tone cabinets are designed for single-channel organs whose pedal range extends down into the lower frequencies. The sound is "separated" with the highs reproduced by a horn rotor and the lows reproduced by a bass rotor. Both the horn and bass rotors can be operated at two speeds : Fast (Tremolo) or Slow (Chorale). These models also features a traditional tube amplifier for the "warm tube" sound.

@laidyeh You can use both a half moon switch and a foot switch on this organ, one does not mean the other cannot be used. You are correct that he uses as half moon switch at some points, but at others he uses a foot switch, hence the Leslie change at 1:40, with no hand activation.

@TheEnglishRedneck45 It is not a foot switch...If you look at the beginning you see him switch the leslie switch with his hand....He is playing bass pedals with his foot...

@TheEnglishRedneck45 yes he is using a foot switch..... if you pay attention to his leg around 1:40 you can see it move over a little bit

@willonthejib I personally love foot switches for leslie control - could never do the whole seamless transitions using the manual control. Some do however say the footswitch encourages over-use of the leslie, but I can't see how one could ever over-use such a fantastic beast!

On the newer Hammonds they come with a switch on the volume pedal that would allow him to speed up and slow down the rotors on the leslie.

@theironfreak The same happens at 1:40 - the leslie slows right down. Must be a foot switch.

2:53 How did he do that? Slow down the leslie without touching the switch? Hidden footswitch?
