From Cockburn's first, self-titled album. This was his first single ever. It's sung in a very high range, and I've tuned down my guitar to make it easier. Standard tuning. Pretty song, and exemplifies how Cockburn had his trademark guitar style right from the start of his recording career.

  • couldn't have been quite 45 years (album came out in '70). Glad you enjoyed it though- and thanks for your kind feedback.

  • TL -- what is that tuning?

  • @randomview1 std

  • @TorontoLarrivee youre not in std your in D

  • @SiBoutin No-- not D, definitely standard tuning. The song is in the key of G (Notice my thumb at the G note on the sixth string throughout). Cheers. Actually the guitar may be tuned a semi-tone flat, but not an open tuning anyway

  • Very nice!! One of my all time favorite Bruce songs.

  • This was the first album I ever bought! About 45 years ago! I loved this song and just remembered it the other day. I finally thought I'd look for the song and I only found yours. Well you did a beautiful rendition of it! Nicely played and sung. Wish I could hear the original by Bruce. Thank you!
