When was this?! And how did I miss it?

She's a Mini Maiko

@mewmewmeow09 rice is the staple of the Japanese people! But I'd say, learn Nihon-buyo but be proud of your own culture too! You don't have to be Japanese to admire Japan. You don't have to be Japanese to live in Japan either!

The little Maiko is Mametomi :o I never recognised her before 0.o

I might be crazy and my parents might think im INSANE but I wanna learn to dance like that... I love Japan, everything about it. Im an otaku and id die to be Japanese. I wanna be like that SO freakin bad. Ya I hate sushi, but I cant survive on noodles and rice :D

@Aranur miyako odori only features geisha and maiko from gion kobu, each kagai has his own odori!
-
It's simply the make of that particular costume. They are all fully fledged maiko and when they attend parties or daily events they wear their darari at ankle length.

GREAT!! wish it were longer

Love it. I enjoy it very much. T_T I want to be there to see it with my own eyes and feel the surroundings must be great. Thank's for uploading this vid. They all look like Japanese miniature dolls ^____^ kawaiiii
It's nice that geisha reognize tayuu inside their tradition. If a tradition wants to be preserved, it must recognize also its origins. If the presence of the tayuu here does not has that historical importance, it's still nice
