dude, you can combine both, there are loads of bands that actually encourage moshing, take devildriver for instance, this year i was in their world record attempt for biggest circlepit ever

When I go to concerts I go to see the band I love play, not to give myself whiplash, I can do that at home by myself. I want to actually see Dave Msutaine's swift picking action and fast fingerwork, not the sky, floor, sky, floor, sky floor.

Who gives a crap about the crowd? When you go to a concert you're interested in watching a band do their thing, not if the crowd is jumping around or not.
