Jeff put his arm inside the guard of Geeza. That is a basic fail that some beginners always do. Geeza applied a good triangle, thanks to his long legs!

i agree with you attempting a triangle on a much heavier guy is like suicide but if both knees are on the ground it will work...good match sir nicolai!

Did it bother you at all to have the coach yelling about the triangle? Obviously you knew you had the other arm beat and were waiting to spring the trap. Can you elaborate on what you were waiting for, and whether you woukd have preferred if your coach said nothing?

no, it did not bother me at all - i have been in matches in which i lost my mind and wish i had my coach there to guide me. but in this case, my opponent was actually GIVING me the triangle so that he could pass on my attempt. he was MUCH heavier than me and his idea was a good one - i train with a heavy guy who does the same thing and ALWAYS passes my triangle! however, the moment his right knee touched the mat, i knew his pass would be much harder, so i attempted the submission. thx 4 ask!
