Won't be for another 20 years. We are getting there, though. We will have it within our lifetimes. Just you wait. The future is bright with shiny new toys.

No - it is a 3d printer -- just more powerful and more precise -- you are claiming that it is IMPOSSIBLE to do (in the exact same fashion of additive replication a group of scientist "printed" a chip with I-B-M in copper atoms) - the precision is the only difference of the concepts (akin to you saying we cant clone humans because we don't have the tech - to wit i respond WE CLONED A SHEEP) (the point is the tech is there)

You know what, I give up. This is even more stupid than what I can afford to spend time on. Don't take my word for it, but your answer is almost equivalent to saying "The technology for human cloning is there, it's just too expensive an operation to launch" when asked "Can you really clone humans using a toaster?"

Did you seriously think I stepped up and claimed that the complete process of building a machine using another machine is theoretically impossible? What?

    That's about everything...

research?? really took me less than a minute to find -- tinyurl(dot)com/yawp4pd - IBM made a chip with the letters I-B-M placed on it in COPPER ATOMS -- the tech is there now (just way to expensive for the average or even above average person)

You wouldn't get the paint quality that a "action" figure can have.

"This may sound like a typical flute"

The fact that you can print a working flute is impressive, but it sounds significantly worse.
