Yeah,there were a lot good bands in Australia. Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs held the Number 1 spot with "Poison Ivy" when the Beatles were here in June 64. See the early 70's version of Billy Thorpe on Youtube to contrast.

Boy, they were great years in the 60's used to go to Surf City and The Cross was my beat, saw the Beatles at The Cross also.
