@klarissa814 Thanks. And isn't it the truth?
-
@angelwz73 i was about to write the same thing you took the words out of my mouth
-
there's no guitar. they use sampled data + piano. since 2008 there's a real bassist.

Crystal Ball may be an' acrobatic song to sing live' but Tom is an "acrobatic singer"! He rocks! Great comment. I agree:"best band ever"
-
maybe beacause nowadays music is mostly evasive and hedonist, but fortunately for us, there are still bands like Keane that look within the heart and soul.
-
AND, I wonder why are they so under-rated. Songs like Atlantic or Try Again should be up on the top 10 charts.
-
Yeahh!! Rainy day atmosphere is what describes them best! Till now, I still have yet to figure out their inspiration whenever they write their lyrics. I always wonder what are they trying to convey although I believe it really reaches people's hearts .
-
Me too. Though I like recent stuff, I miss their rainy day atmosphere.

I've been observing Tom's vocal on Crystal Ball live performances. He tends to use his throat rather than his diaphragm when he sings the chorus. He did say that Crystal Ball is an acrobatic song to perform live. The studio version has backing vocals from Richard and Tim for all three choruses. In live they only sing the last chorus together. But no matter what, They're the best band ever.
