Here's a Monroe tune that he never commercially recorded. I think James Bryan was the first to record it on one of his old time fiddle albums. This is a little rough. But on these obscure tunes I never get to play with anyone else, it's kinda hard to keep them all fresh. Sounds pretty good on the oval hole mandolin doesn't it??

  • great job. it sounds familiar to me. I must have heard it somewhere. Surprised Monroe never recorded it. Now that I think about it, perhaps it was on mandolin extravaganza?

  • @sean808080 Chris Henry recorded it. But that's the only one I have.

  • James Bryan recorded this in 1983 on his , *Lookout Blues*, Rounder 0175. On that album he also recorded Monroe's "Nanook of the North" and "Reelfoot Reel."

  • Sounds great Shaun!
