Hurricane Ike was of course the Storm of the Century for Texas Gulf Coast Region. The entire KPRC Creative Department volunteered to stay during the storm to help other departments, and produce promos. We were the first station to have a proof of performance spot on the air (the night Ike hit). I believe KHOU was next but it was two days after the storm. My goal was to get a real behind the scenes feel for viewers, and get the spots on the air as quickly as possible. I produced and edited the spots, Kevin Foley shot all of the footage.
