@lonerangersheriff, maybe if baseball didn't take up so much of his time and delay his career. He never had a 1,000 yard rushing season and he only had 2,782 overall when he was injured at the age of 28. Going at that rate he'd have to play to 40 just to get to 11,000 yards.
Obviously 50,000 is an exaggeration but even if he remained healthy it was highly, highly unlikely that he would have ever cracked the top 20 all time rushing leaders list.
