Qristina and Quinn perform a track from their debut CD "Relative Minors": Kathryn's Castle (by Daniel Lapp) & Lost in the Loop (by Liz Carroll) as part of the show "Music from Three Continents" held at the Aberdeen Music Hall during the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, August 2008.

We would like to dedicate this performance to Daniel Pearl World Music Days (Oct.1-31)inspired by the life and work of journalist and musician Daniel Pearl, who would have celebrated his birthday on October 10th. We can use the power of music to lift people of different backgrounds and beliefs above the differences that set us apart. Through this performance we would like to spread the ideal of "Harmony for Humanity".

  • I saw you perform this. Fantastic. Will you be back next year? :)

  • Thanks! It went well despite the "technical" problems we encountered during our performance :) I don't know that we'll be coming back to the Aberdeen Youth Festival next year - but we may be going back to Speyfest. It'll depend on what gigs we have lined up for the summer.. we loved Scotland so it'd be great to go back.

  • Yeah, I really loved this one. What are the tunes?

  • the first is "Kathryn's Castle" by BC fiddler Daniel Lapp, the second is "Lost in the Loop", by Liz Carroll (although our arrangement is slightly different from the way she plays it).

  • Beautiful performance. 'Kathryn's Castle' is a lovely tune, which Qristina played with tons of beautiful tone. Quinn provided a sensitive and then driving accompaniment. Professional all the way.

  • Mesmerising. Loving these tunes!
