الفرهود هي أعمال عنف ونهب نشبت في بغداد بالعراق واستهدفت سكان المدينة من اليهود في 1 حزيران 1941 خلال إحتفالهم بعيد الشفوعوت اليهودي. حدثت هذه الأحداث عقب الفوضى التي اعقبت سقوط حكومة رشيد عالي الكيلاني خلال انقلاب 1941 قبل أن تتمكن القوات البريطانية من السيطرة على المدينة. انتهت الحادثة في اليوم التالي لدى دخول البريطانيين بغداد وراح ضحيتها حوالي 175 قتيلا و 1،000 جريحا يهوديا، كما تم تدمير حوالي 900 منزلا تابعا لليهود.[1] تركت هذه الحادثة أثرا عميقا لدى اليهود العراقيين وساعدت على سرعة هجرتهم إلى إسرائيل، فبحلول عام 1951 هاجر أكثر من 80% منهم إلى إسرائيل.[2]
Farhud (Arabic: الفرهود‎) refers to the pogrom or "violent dispossession" carried out against the Jewish population of Baghdad, Iraq, on June 1-2, 1941 during the Jewish holiday of Shavuot. The riots occurred in a power vacuum following the collapse of the pro-Nazi government of Rashid Ali while the city was in a state of instability. Before British and Transjordanian forces arrived, around 175 Jews had been killed and 1,000 injured. Looting of Jewish property took place and 900 Jewish homes were destroyed.[1] By 1951, 110,000 Jews - 80% of Iraqi Jewry - had emigrated from the country, most to Israel.[3] The Farhud has been called the "forgotten pogrom of the Holocaust" and "the beginning of the end of the Jewish community of Iraq", a community that had existed for 2,600 years.[4]

It was not the first massacre against the Jews of Iraq, who have lived there for 4,000 years, it wasn't the last, there were many more, not only in Iraq but against the Jews of the entire i$lamic $atanic world - which ONLY believes in death & destruction - ESPECIALLY the death & destruction of Jews, according to the religion of death's [un]holy piece of filth, the qur'an which instructs moose-slime$ to 'kill Jews wherever you find them'.Isaiah 2:4

Very sad part of our history in Iraq, Jewish people were as much Iraqis as every one then and now, it was very big mistake.. The word sorry is not enough...

experiencing the "genocide" that took place in Iraq from 2006 up to now, I can say that what happened to the Jews at that time was the same case in that the public had nothing to do with the actions. The riots were stirred by some groups who had POLITICAL AGENDA and then a bunch of thieves joined...and this is how you start chaos and it goes on. Unfortunately this happened to the Jews of Iraq.
