  • how much would a new or a older Polaris Sportsman Touring cost. Also how big are the tires and gas tank.

  • @miller411ful Check your local classifieds or Cycle Trader to find out the prices of used machines. Check out the specs on our videos to find the sizes of the gas tank and tires.

  • I just want to start off by giving you and everyone at ATV television a big kudos. Whenever I search info on these machines, you're usually on the top of the list.

I'm a big time ATV novice, but was looking for a good quality 2-up machine. I've settled between Polaris and Can-am. More specifically, the Polaris 550 touring/Can-am Outlander 400 Max-XT. When you weigh the costs of the Polaris (with winch and bumper upgrades) and the XT, they're pretty close. Any advice for this lost soul?

  • @TheScotttP Thank you! Appreciation is our fuel ;-) They certainly both have a few pluses and misses that make them a pretty tough choice. I'd make the choice between the Outlander 500 and the Touring 550 though. The Outty 500 has much better front suspension than the 400. But then that probably messes with the price comparison too ;-) The choice is close enough that you won't really go wrong either way. But having the winch and better tires might sway me.....

  • @ATVTVCOM Thanks for the quick response! I always seem to go back to Can-Am when comparing the two and I think I'm going to stick with my guns so to speak. I like the idea of having the double A arm on my bikes suspension, so I'm actually leaning towards the 650 max XT. I believe in one of the Can-Am videos you did, you said the 650 was probably one of the best or maybe more efficient was used? Can't remember at the moment.

Any more Can-Am reviews on the horizon?

  • @TheScotttP Indeed the 650 was my favorite. Hopefully, but all the manufacturers are much tighter with their loaner units with the market like it is.

  • @MegaCANAM800 Star sounds a bit big for me - perhaps host is a better title ;-)

Somehow when I think of 'star' I think of big houses, fans, nice cars, lots of,,,, oh well, it was fun while I was dreaming there.

  • @DrPilotRedC And You Tube isn't? As unfortunate as it may 'seem' all the ads (especially those on our website) are how we make the money it takes to produce all these videos.

So you may hate 'em, but visiting 'them' will help keep the videos coming! And maybe even get the banners removed ;-)
