Yes WHY add to the sonic potential of any given instrument. Why not simply use an effect+box, or better yet just an unbent box, or better yet a single sample, or better yet a single drum or better yet just your hands, or better yet just make a single sound consisting of white noise, or better yet make no sound at all. Seriously, this wanton hatred for bending must be the most stupid nonsense since people claimed electronics couldn't be used for musical purposes.

What difference does that make? whether or not I have used circuit bending is irrelevant. I understand it's purpose. It's like looking at abstract art and appreciating it. I don't need to create it to understand it. Don't take me too seriously. My opinion is just different than yours.
