@OBrienGuitars Thanks for the reply. tbh i was just looking for some reassurance that the join would hold under tension. i suppose if i add some laminate as well it should get even stronger.

I'm kinda new to this (making my third guitar - an electric- and have only ever made 1 piece necks before) how strong is the finished scarf joint? it doesn't seem to have much of a contact area once the headstock is cut down to thickness.

@AJD09FB IMHO it is stronger than a one piece neck.

Thanks for doing these videos. I have finished my first guitar. I made quite a few mistakes, but the plan was for the first one to be a learning experience with cheap wood. I then ordered good wood from LMI and now I'm working on #2.
