@tub88vang shit, i don't think i can replace a whole axle. I got it checked it out and they said it was bent like a 1/4" or something, which is pretty bad. I slid off the road at about 25 mph into some gravel and thats what killed it, but I've got a jeep....what the hell!

@drippinblood28 yea sorry for late reply but I couldn't stand the tire wobble so I just bought a used axle shaft on my suv I was scared that the wobble will trash the back tire so it took me half a day to replace it not bad it was my first.

I just finished a total "pro touring" restoration on my 70 Chevelle. It has a 600hp 496 BB stroker with close to 700lbs torque. The trans is a TKO-600 Tremec 5 speed with a 12 bolt & 3.73 gears. I have around 700 miles on it & noticed the left axle is bent. It is a very strong running car but didn't realize the torque would bend a stock axle. I just ordered a new set of Moser axles. --- By the way, your car sounds wicked!

@tub88vang i have the same problem too
Is it the Bearing?

@buttmanroad nope, warped axle. I made it worse the following week when I put my drag radials on at the track and dropped the clutch at 4000 RPMs. The noise was the driveshaft alignment. I lowered the tail of the transmission by getting a shorter trans mount and the noise went away.

did you ever fixed the problem? was it a bent axle? I have the same problem but on my suv though.

@tub88vang The actual noise ended up being another issue. But yes, the axle was bent at the flange slightly. I took it to the dragstrip a few weeks ago and used my drag radials for the first time. I dropped the clutch at 4K and warped the same axle even worse. So I had a buddy replace the OEM axles with stronger ones. I should have it back on the road in a few days.
