Her voice is so strong for so young a person. There has been no one like her since.

Her conductor of many years, Mort Lindsey, said her voice never failed to send a chill up his spine, and he would hear it night after night. Imagine the effect it would have had on us, being in it's presence just once!
I agree with your lovely comments-her voice and the thrill it induces is unmatched. It's so beautiful.

Incredible.
Has there ever been more perfect diction in one so young? Just a couple of short years before, young Frances Gumm was leaving vaudeville audiences open-mouthed by her sheer artistry. They couldn't believe that a child of 12 could sing like a grown woman - this wasn't some silly American Idol overnight sensation, but a talent honed on stages across the US, since this little Frances was two. Judy Garland gained fame the old fashioned way - she earned it.

She was just a kid when she sang this, can you believe it? There will never be another like Judy Garland, never.
