Looks like that to you, because your city is made of concrete. Our city is mostly suburbs with trees and areas that all don't look the same. Almost none of our best of our lifestyle is right on the surface. You have to hang out at people's houses a while and sit a spell to get into the good stuff.
Why do people from NYC always think they are the center of the universe? I've had to go up on business and I can't wait to leave since the stench makes me sick. Give me Toronto anytime over that open sewer.
@adelgado75 I have to disagree w/ @notverycrucial, it gets above 100 degrees in consecutive days for months at a time during the summer. Just stay in NYC.

@adelgado75, The average daytime temp in July for Charlotte is 90 degrees. I believe, it's around 87 for NYC.
