  • Nice. If I saw that commercial today I would go and buy Linit. I love how he speaketh as though he steppeth from a Shakespearean play.

  • Oh snap, It's Ernie's dad! I never knew he came from royalty!

  • Linit was originally marketed by Corn Products as a "beauty bath" powder (they sponsored Fred Allen's "LINIT BATH CLUB REVUE" on radio in 1932-'33). Eventually, Linit became associated with starch [granulated and spray]. Jim Henson himself is the voice {and manipulator} of "Sir Linit". You can still find Linit on some grocery shlves today.

  • Yeah, and it would suck.

  • Linit sounds like he has soda pop in his mouth or something in his mouth giving him that funny voice.

  • They could do somthin like this nowadays with cgi characters!

  • that's freaking Burts friend Ernie with that dogs voice

  • That is the best commercial i've seen in a long time. Thanks for posting........where did it come from????
