  • Is that Richard Saunders playing camera man? So, it must be the combined skepticism of Brian and Richard canceling out reality that causes this gravitational phenomenon.

  • @mhansl Ah yes, it was I behind the camera... An odd experience as the camera tried to float away...

  • The rock ledge on which Brian and the camera are standing on is at an angle. The gravel is falling vertically downwards.

  • Did you have Deepak Chopra helping you?

  • i would not go there knowing the undertaker can be around the corner

  • Weird how the gravel falls the exact same angle as your right leg ;)

  • was it hot there?

  • haha funny

  • Camera trick...

  • There is no such thing as a gravitational anomaly!.Scientifically speaking gravitational laws have to do only with mass and spin, not with Strata folded over? Come on! whose to say which strata are the 'right way up. all over the planet?

Trick photography yes, but how I am no expert

  • i think Deepak Chopra has proposed some explanation on this anomaly. it was some sort of quantum turbulence or something. go google it. LOL.

  • If you can't work out whats going on and you are actually buying the gravitational anomaly thing, check out Brian's site skeptoid.com ....you'll see he's having some fun with the more gullible amongst the populace :D (its an AWESOME site too btw)

  • You gave a clue in the video. The illusion only works because we expect that strata should be horizontal, the way they're laid down. If upheaval occurs and tilts the strata, and you hold the camera so the strata look horizontal, this illusion happens. The only real giveaway in the first part is that you're putting a lot of weight on your right leg so you;re perpendicular to the strata and don't fall down the hill. Brillíant! I'd love to visit this area someday.
