Nicolae Kirculescu (1903-1985) (Roumanie)
Moment muzical, pour piano et orchestre (1946)
Pianiste : Dan Grigore
Dir : Iosif Conta

  • @Glinkaism1 But it is already the opening (intro) of the TV series in Romania, called TeleEnciclopedia, since 1965! :)

  • ...Filled my heart with light and joy...Powerful, virtuoso, nothing short of a masterpiece. I just wish the world would get to know more about the Romanian composers, musicians, artists in general , and their majestic contribution to the world's cultural heritage.

This short piece is just an excerpt of their tribute to the world.

  • This piece is only now becoming better known in the West thanks to You Tube & such. It's interesting that someone pointed out that it might have Gypsy influences. This piece does demonstrate that Eastern Europe had, back in '46, a lot of what Hollywood incorporated into its movies from that era.

  • A bit of wild gypsy melody here. :) Lovely theme! Wonder it this music can also be licensed for another movie?

  • @DeidaraUnLovesMe Gotcha! After posting my comment on how gorgeous it would sound in a movie or TV series, I looked it up on web. And it set me straight. And thanks to you, too. :)

  • This is a gorgeous short work. It would make lovely music for a romantic movie or TV series. 0000h! Thanks for posting. Hey, we need more posters here!
