Inspiring NBC Made for TV Movie back when I was a High School Teenager in December 1980. Conrad with a Mustache is Steadfast Tough and likes the Challenge of being the Football Coach @ St. Charles. Two Thumbs Up!! Peace and OOH RAH!!

@IAmStavvi I used to work for a bus manufacturing company and we also built handicap accessible vans and the controls for people who are unable to use foot feeds have hand controls on the steering column. In some vehicles they even make it to where a wheel chair can be in place of the drivers seat. You did note that he got out on the passenger side because there wouldn't have been enough room to manuever into his chair on the drivers side. There are always ways to adapt a car specially.

Thankyou for posting this. It brings back memories of 4 years I spent in St Charles over 25 years ago. I was able to turn my life around and become a business man in Florida. I played football and softball on the same fields these boys are playing on. It wasn't easy there but I really believe that the place saved my life. I was in Harding, Adams, Lincoln cottages. Sometimes I call my old cottage manager he still remembers me after all these years. I hope the boys there now make it like I did.

I remember when this came on NBC when I was a kid! Robert Conrad was the man in his day. Think he'd give Chuck Norris a run for his money,lol!

I may be missing something obvious, but how can a person who's confined to a wheelchair with both legs paralyzed able to drive a car?
