MY dad in his 04 civic coupe gets 40 mpg mixed driving! He hasn't modified it at all, but when i (and if i) inherit it, i would upgrade it with a Si Engine.

why wont honda put a turbo motor into the si? they can not compete with any cars in their class/price range (focus st,wrx, mazdaspeed 3, gti, cobalt ss, srt4)

@ColdNapalm42 Yah I test drove the GTI. Im at the point where ive wanted a new car for a few years now but Honda has nothing on their lot and nothing coming that makes me want to run and put money down on a new car! I thought id always stay with Honda for life but times have changed. I really love the whole Hyundai lineup but im Eyein a 370z for my next sports car. OH well, Honda was fun at one time....90s-early 00's.

@Acc0rd79 Better yet, go buy a GTI, MS3, WRX or ralliart if you want an ACTUAL fun car in the around 25 grand (albeit the RA maybe pushing that) compact sports car category. This version of the SI may have gotten more torque, but it has had pretty much all the fun sucked out of it. Notice how they keep mention how it's more grown up and how smooth it is...that's not fun. That's what you use to describe a camry...not a bloody SI.
Bring back the civic hatch!

@JackPughPugh you shouldn't. it'll fuck up your transmission, and the suspension set-up probably won't handle it. don't even get me started on cooling system and tires/brakes. you're better off selling it and getting an si straight off (not the EP3, but the FA5)
