The hull of the surviving one of two T24 Weasels tested by the Australian Army in 1944-45 being rotated on a homebuit hoist/rotisserie. The army's summary report found the vehicles to be unsuitable for Australian conditions, especially for use in the tropics. Both T24s were disposed of in 1946 to the NSW Government Tourist Bureau for use as snowmobiles to haul skiers to and from their chalets in the Snowy Mountains. Whilst operating there it gained the moniker 'THE BOGONG GRUB' which was painted on the front of the hull. The remains of this vehicle were recovered in March 2008 and grafted with another hull and new sheet metal by master metalworker John Wilson.
All other Weasels in Australia were imported post-war.
